Welcome to my website. I am a professional, freelance editorial, documentary, portrait and event photographer. I specialize in pet portraiture and donate a portion of my earnings to animal rescue. Click here to learn more.
My editorial work has been published in LIFE, People, Sports Illustrated, Reader's Digest, Marie Claire Italy, 5280 and The Advocate magazines, along with the San Diego Reader, the Rocky Mountain News, the Denver Post and other newspapers. My documentary work has been published in college textbooks and two coffee-table books: "A Face in the Crowd, Expressions of Gay Life in America", and "The Thousand-Mile Stare: Images from Ground Zero". A special edition series of "The Thousand-Mile Stare" is available for sponsorship for those interested in sending a book to a NY/NJ Port Authority Police Officer to let them know they have not been forgotten.

An estimated one thousand people attended the Opening Reception Gala and Awards Ceremony at the Lyceum Theatre Galley on April 14, 2007, where judge Tim Wride handed out awards to the top 15 entries. An estimated 20,000 people viewed the Show during its six-week run through May 28, 2007. |
I am available for public speaking engagements related to my experiences in post-disaster environments, animal rescue and ongoing documentary project, Unnatural Disasters. Please send an email to nanette@nanettemartin.com or call 303.929.5655 for more information.
