West Street May 30, 2002 Retired firefighter Flip Mullen carries the American flag in the closing ceremony procession. Flip lost family and friends in the World Trade Center disaster and in the crash of American Airlines Flight 587, which happened two months and one day after September 11. The plane came down only a few blocks from Flip’s home. |
